Peter Boyle, R.I.P.

Peter Boyle is dead at age 71.
He was the guy who played the father on Everyone Loves Raymond.
The other notable part he played was the monster in Mel Brooks' 1974 classic film Young Frankenstein.
If you've never seen this movie, it is a must see. I nearly peed my pants laughing when Dr. Frankenstein and his monster creation did a song and dance number and the monster shouts "Puttin' on the Ritz!"

It's odd, I was just watching some silly show on TV land last night about famous catch phrases and they did an interview with Peter Boyle. I was thinking he looked a little unwell and today I read that he's died. He was a fantastic actor.

Pwuttin' on duh Wits!

This made me sad, he was such a great actor.

Did you ever see him in that Michael Keaton movie about the escaped mental patients?? The name eludes me, but he was one of the patients, and his turn in the van lip synching along to the radio is a clip of comic genius.

That movie was the Dream Team. I've never seen it, but I'll have to put it on my Netflix queue.
